However,the NHS in England won'tprovidereplacement implants if your original implants were fitted privately,except in a verysmall number of cases wherethey were fitted for medical, rather than cosmetic, reasons.
If youhad PIP breast implants originally fitted on the NHS, youcan havethem removed and replacedbythe NHS at no cost.
The operation to removeand replace PIPimplantsis done wherever possiblethrough the original surgical cuts.
