Labfront and Zana join forces to redefine digital biomarker research
Unlocking Multimodal Digital Biomarkers - Physiology Meets Voice
We are excited to invite you to an upcoming webinar bringing together Labfront and Zana to present a powerful new collaboration in digital health research.
The Future of Multimodal Biomarker Research
Labfront's leading research platform is built for high-quality capture and generation of physiological digital biomarkers. It enables researchers to collect raw wearable and EMA data at scale, integrating signals from smartwatches, ECGs, CGMs and other connected devices. With tools to manage participant adherence and visualize and analyze data, Labfront supports rigorous, real-world research and the reliable generation of physiological insights.
Zana's VOICE-BIOME platform introduces a complementary, entirely non-invasive modality: voice as a digital biomarker. Through brief smartphone voice samples, it extracts reliable acoustic features that correlate with cardiorespiratory, cognitive, or emotional states.
Together, Labfront & VOICE-BIOME enable multimodal biomarker research.
By combining continuous physiological signals with expressive voice-based indicators, researchers can generate insights that were previously unexplored.
Extending Validated Voice Biomarkers
Zana has already validated condition-specific vocal biomarkers that are fully implemented, longitudinal, and smartphone-based.
In COPD, voice features alone are shown to predict 79% of exacerbations days before clinical onset, and 85% of them at onset, demonstrating strong early-warning capability.
In Heart Failure, voice biomarkers achieved 87.5% sensitivity and 83% specificity in detecting decompensation stages in hospitalized patients.
These are the starting points. We call on researchers to build beyond these use cases.
Physiological signals often tell you that something changed.
Voice helps explain why.
The combined approach empowers researchers to explore entirely new questions across healthy populations, chronic disease cohorts, occupational health, mental health, and stress research.
🎓 Joint Research Grant Announcement
Supporting research is at the heart of both our missions.
During the webinar, we will announce a Joint Research Grant for the Next Generation of Researchers.
Labfront has a strong history of grant programs aimed at empowering up-and-coming researchers with funding to conduct impactful studies that advance society.
Zana now joins this initiative, expanding support to include vocal biomarker research.
Together, we are investing in the future of multimodal digital health research.
