UNISONO Milestone: Advancing Voice Biomarkers in Heart Failure Monitoring

Thu, 27 Feb 2025

We are excited to announce a major milestone in the UNISONO project, led by Zana in collaboration with Cosinuss GmbH° and the German Center for Heart Failure at Universitätsklinikum Würzburg.

What makes this project groundbreaking?
UNISONO is developing an innovative in-ear sensor that integrates voice recognition and continuous vital monitoring, unlocking novel voice biomarkers for AI-assisted clinical phenotyping in chronic heart failure.

Latest achievement:
The first prototype of the in-ear sensor by cosinuss° is now complete! In addition to tracking vital signs, the device now features an integrated speaker and microphone, enabling real-time audio functionality.

Start of Feasibility study
The feasibility study has started at University Hospital Würzburg, where Heart Failure patients will use the device alongside Zana’s mobile app in a three-month home study. The app with the sensor will facilitate data collection, patient interaction, and real-time monitoring, combining vital data and voice recordings to pave the way for new AI-driven insights into heart failure.

We look forward to sharing more results as we continue shaping the future of AI-powered remote monitoring and voice-based digital biomarkers!
