Zana takes the stage at MEDICA, the leading global platform for the medical sector, showcasing innovative healthcare technologies. As part of the MEDICA HEALTH IT FORUM - a hub for healthcare digitalization – Zana is featured in a special MEDICA press release for its innovative work using human speech as a biomarker for chronic diseases like COPD and Heart Failure. By leveraging AI models, Zana's technology analyzes voice patterns to predict health deterioration, including acute symptom worsening or exacerbation risks. This solution also supports clinical decisions and objective assessment of the course of illness – and is a very innovative method.

On November 12, 2024, Zana’s CEO, Dr.-Ing. Julia Hoxha, moderated a panel on Generative AI in Healthcare, featuring esteemed experts. Among the various talks on AI at MEDICA´s Pavillion of Digital Health, the panel stood out with an engaging discussion on how recent developments impact healthcare. This was possible through the insights of Bertram Weiss (Merantix Momentum) on industry applications that leverage GenAI’s capacity to enhance patient outcomes across the care journey, Reinhard Heckel (Technical University of Munich) on how Generative AI goes beyond just ChatGPT to enhance diagnostics in various applications, and Dario Antweiler (Fraunhofer Institute) on GenAI`s ability to ease administrative burdens and burnout healthcare workers through AI automation. The panel explored moving beyond proof-of-concept, mitigating risks like bias in AI, and ensuring data representativeness in GenAI systems.
